Hi, I'm Charlie and this is Whimsical Wanderings, a blog which connects all my special interests with travel topics of all kinds.

In 2022, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in History. My love for history began on a trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Somehow, my husband found a way to connect fun stories of the past with an empty field. While I did not continue with American history, I dedicated my life to research.

I have traveled across the country from sea to shining sea, yet my obsession with foreign cultures has led me to write more on European and Asian history. Join me as I combine historical research with unique travel topics.

On a more personal note, I have 6 cats and 1 dog, my favorite food is Thai peanut curry, I am obsessed with Bram Stoker's Dracula, and my personal style includes overalls and green hair.
